 Disasters are part of life. They strike unexpectedly and affect children the most. We have collaborated with other organizations to respond to needs of children affected by disaster in United States, Nigeria, Kenya, and Guyana. For example, we provided housing and supportive services for some children and their families that were affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

 To help alleviate the problems of delivering healthcare in disadvantaged communities, Africa's Children's Fund procure medical supplies and equipment from hospitals and manufacturers and ship for distribution to hospitals and healthcare centers in need. Since 2001, this program has donated supplies and equipment worth over $1,000,000.
